A dream come true...

I heard the full audio of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech this morning on my way to work. (Yes, I have to work on MLK Jr. Day.) I wonder if Dr. King ever imagined that a black man would become the president of the United States of America forty-six years after this speech was delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial...

And here's a video of U2 performing "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" and "City of Blinding Lights" yesterday, also on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

This is a beautiful week...

Can we be civil?

I ran across this great blog entry at Christianitytoday.com. The author has succinctly stated what I've long thought about gay marriage, and marriage in general. Let's get the state out of the marriage business. I don't know why we think our state and federal goverments - entitiies that still can't figure out how to balance a budget - should regulate marriage anyway...

Here's the blog entry:

Enjoy!
